How long have you been in business?
I have been making my living as an artist for more than 30 years.
What is your primary product or service?
Art.
I call my my current artwork "Painted Quilts". Painted Quilts are a hybrid of fine art (painting, drawing and collage) and fine craft (stitching, quilting, embroidery), very unique and highly textural.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Making art makes me happy. That was true for me as a child and it is still true today.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I work with local homeowners on a commission basis to create that special piece........in an unusual size perhaps that fits into their home. My art brings the beauty of the North Carolina landscape into your living space.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One studio location. However you can see examples of my work at the Folk Art Center, and in Biltmore Village at the Southern Highland Guild Gallery.
