Solar Thermal Sales, Installation and Training
At Green Brothers Solar we install the latest technology evacuated tube solar hot water systems.
We make each installation an opportunity for training. The client can give back to the community by offering their installation as a training ground for 1-10 other people.
We also lecture around the state to groups and organizations on the topics of renewable energy and solar thermal systems.

How long have you been in business?

What is your primary product or service?
Solar thermal evacuated tube systems
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
We lived off the grid for two years and came to appreciated the able to re-route much of our dependence on oil and oil related processes. Did training through our supplier, AB Technical school and John Hairfield (grad. of 4 yr. program in renewables).
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our business has a social consciouness about it and though businesses in this area should be more responsible they are not. We train youth (15-20) in solar thermal sales, installation and training. These youth can then enter an emerging field with great On-The-Job training.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We presently have one location and a storage space.
Our plans are to expand next year as we add Photo Voltaics to our line of products.
Provide detailed directions to your location
At present our location isn't a show room for our products and our wharehouse is only available by appointment.
We are pleased however to go on field trips to talk about any aspect of our business.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept 15% down on a typical unit $6,500
The federal government offers 30% tax credit = $1,950
The state government offers 35% tax credit = $2,275
The remaining $2,275 can be paid at the same amount of
your previous monthly hot water bill until the balance is
paid.
Which areas do you service?
All of North Carolina, Georgia, & South Carolina.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Accem Scott is owner of Green Brothers Solar, LLC
John Hairfield is the director of Education and operations.
What are your hours of operation?
Monday through Friday 9-5pm
We do schedule appointments on Saturday and Sunday with advanced notice.
