How long have you been in business?
I have been training dogs for over 9 years. I studied for 2 years with a master trainer learning behavior modification and obedience training. This is much longer than most trainers study before opening a business.
What is your primary product or service?
I offer in home training for dog owners. I come to them so that the problems they have in every day life can be addressed. It is hard to learn how to keep your dog from jumping up on the kitchen counters, stay off the couch etc when you are learning it in a parking lot or an eclosed area in a store.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I actually became interested after having a trainer come to my house and help me with my unruly dog. I realized how much the average dog owner does not know about how a dog thinks and why he acts the way he does. I wanted to learn more.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I am a behavior specialist. That means I look for the underlying root of the dog's problem and not just how to prevent the behavior. It is important to understand why a dog is doing what they are doing so that is can be addressed and handled in a kind and benevolent way.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Because I come to you-I can expand anytime I would like by traveling to new areas of the greater Asheville area.
